Kelly Clarkson is an American artist and singer. She became the nation's sweetheart after winning the American Idol title during the very first season of the competition. This victory was not only a catalyst for her becoming famous, but also resulted in a deal with several albums from RCA Records 19 Recordings as in addition to 'S Records. Her subsequent releases include a variety of recordings from her studio. The three albums reached the US Billboard 200 chart, and others were just a hair short of it. Her name is among the best stars to come out of American Idol. She began experimenting with music and themes as her success grew. The uniqueness of her voice and singing skills earned her praise, as well a few prestigious distinctions. Most notably she has won her the Grammy Award three times.
